Botany Bay Foreshore 

One of the premier routes for cycling (and strolling), the Botany Bay Foreshore - Kyeemagh to Dolls Point path is highly frequented. Beginning from Kyeemagh in the north, close to General Holmes Drive, it traces the scenic shoreline of Botany Bay, extending past Brighton-Le-Sands and concluding at Dolls Point's Captain Cook Bridge in the south. The path is consistently bustling with activity, making it essential to use caution while passing others. So don't forget, ring your bell, provide ample space, and greet fellow sun and sea enthusiasts. Dharawal National Park 

Eager for some more challenging mountain biking? The picturesque 10B cycling trail set within Dharawal National Park, spans 15km and is great for families with older children, and small groups of confident riders. The trail starts near the Appin Road entrance, taking you through the beautiful Aussie bushland, along the rugged sandstone ridge. This trail promises an adventurous experience, and the final three kilometres offers more challenging terrain as the trail descends into the Stokes Creek Gorge. The ascent back to the park's northern entrance at Victoria Road, Wedderburn is definitely designed for the more experienced riders–with strong legs. There are lots of cycling options in the Fairfield area. One of the favourite loops is the Orphan School Creek Loop. Also, the popular Fairfield to Prairiewood cycleway covering 22 km of diverse landscape. This ride winds through Fairfield’s vibrant neighbourhoods, offering a perfect blend of urban and suburban views. If you’re up for a bit more of a challenge, consider the Fairfield - Canley Vale - Wetherill Park Loop, a 40 km journey showcasing the area’s cultural richness and natural beauty. These Fairfield tracks are well-loved for providing an enjoyable mix of scenery and cycling excitement, making them the preferred choices for riders of all levels. Menai 

Discover the cycling charm of Menai within the Sutherland Shire area with two enticing routes. Begin your journey from Menai Marketplace to Akuna Oval, a perfect option for novice riders. This route offers a mix of flat and gently hilly sections along a shared cycleway/pedestrian path. Traverse through bushland, past local schools, and Bangor shops, concluding at Akuna Oval's traffic lights. For those seeking a more exhilarating ride, the Menai Market Place to Woronora Bridge and Sutherland route caters to seasoned cyclists, featuring challenging hills and rewarding views of the river. Kelso Park North to Rabaul Road Boat Ramp

One of the Georges River catchment’s most picturesque riverside rides, the Kelso Park North to Rabaul Road Boat Ramp cycleway follows the river through the parklands of Georges Hall and Milperra, passing beneath the Milperra Bridge and offering scenic water views along the way. At around 10 km return, the shared path is ideal for cyclists and walkers alike, with opportunities to spot ducklings, waterbirds and, in cooler months, Swift Parrots feeding in the Blue Gums. Be mindful of other path users and enjoy the ride through a landscape rich in wildlife and native Cumberland Blue Box River-flat Forest.
