Georges Riverkeeper in partnership with City of Canterbury Bankstown and University of New South Wales has been successful in obtaining $10,000 in funding as part of Sydney Water’s 2021 Community Grants Program.

The project, titled “Culturally Inclusive Water Urban Design” which is valued at over $60,000 aims to create a sense of community ownership and advocacy at existing Water Sensitive Urban Design sites along the Riverwood Wetland in the Georges River catchment.

Education sessions, new signage and water quality monitoring activities for the community are planned in partnership with the Riverwood Community Centre.

But firstly, if you use or visit the Riverwood Wetlands, the researchers from USNW invite you to complete this short survey to help them find out more about the local community.
