Canoe Clean Up @ Salt Pan Creek
Join us for a guided on‑water clean‑up of beautiful Salt Pan Creek! This hands‑on event is a great way to combine a relaxing paddle with giving back to the environment.
On Saturday 18 April, meet us at the Salt Pan Creek boat ramp in Peakhurst, where CBCity, Georges River Council and Georges Riverkeeper have got an amazing event planned, including a safety briefing and all the equipment you’ll need: a canoe or kayak, life jacket, litter bags, litter‑pickers and gloves.
Participants will paddle a section of the creek, collecting litter from the water and mangroves as we go. After returning to the boat ramp, water and soft drinks will be available.
What to Bring
Please pack your own hat, sun protection, and clothing suitable for getting wet, including boat shoes or similar (avoid heavy cotton). Expect to get wet while paddling and when entering and exiting your canoe or kayak.
