Executive Group re-elected for another year

Georges Riverkeeper Executive Group 2019/20

We’re pleased to announce the re-election of the Georges Riverkeeper Executive Group, following the Annual General Meeting.

Chairperson, Councillor Geoff Shelton from Liverpool City Council (pictured on the right in the photo), was re-elected. As was Vice Chairperson, Councillor Peter Scaysbrook from Sutherland Shire Council (pictured on the left), and Treasurer, Councillor Adrian Wong from Fairfield City Council (pictured in the middle).

The Executive Group are members of the Georges Riverkeeper Committee elected by our member Council Councillors. The Executive meet on a monthly basis and are responsible for the management and functioning of Georges Riverkeeper, reviewing our financial management, operations and programs and keeping our member Council’s informed so that key decisions can be decided at our bi-monthly General Committee Meetings.

We are very grateful for their on-going support and guidance.

There are many different stakeholders and landowners in the Georges River Catchment who all have a responsibility to manage their land in a way that ensures there is a minimal impact on the river and its ecosystems.
