Georges River Clean Up - Paddle Against Plastic Event 2020

Kayakers paddling on the river

Seeking paddlers and walkers to help Clean Up Salt Pan Creek on the Georges River.

Date: Sunday, March 8, 10 am to 1 pm
Place: Salt Pan Creek Boat Ramp, at the end of Clarendon Rd, Peakhurst, 2210.

This is a Clean Up Australia Day event that incorporates a Paddle Against Plastic with Ocean Crusaders, so bring your kayak, SUP or canoe and help us clean up.

If you don't have a craft you can hire one from us for a very small fee. It's essential to pre-register and book a craft in advance. Simply choose the ticket that refers to what you need and we will see you on the day. Ocean Crusaders will also have a safety vessel there to help with the larger items.

Don't want to kayak and would prefer to walk? Never fear, there is plenty of bank to clean up and we can even drop you off at a few hot spots using our vessel. Register to be part of the land clean up team.

This is a fun family event and we will finish with a BBQ and a few cold refreshments.

The event will be hosted at the Salt Pan Creek Boat Ramp at the end of Clarendon Road. There is limited car parking in the area so we will have a drop off area at the boat ramp and then cars will need to be parked in surrounding streets. If you are bringing your own water vessel please remember to bring and wear a life vest too. We regret to inform you that this event is not suitable for people with disabilities.
