Georges Riverkeeper Extraordinary & General Meeting - June 2022

It's all systems go! We're pleased to report that after important meetings on Thursday 16 June, 2022, to decide the future direction of our organisation and activities, the following has been approved:

  • Amendments to our Constitution to allow Financial Partners
  • Georges Riverkeeper's Strategic Plan 2022-2026
  • Annual Workplan and Budget for 2022-2023

The Georges Riverkeeper Extraordinary Committee meeting and General Committee meeting that were held last night was well attended by our Member Council representatives who asked lots of interesting questions and had some excellent ideas to contribute which will assist us in caring for the Georges River.

Many thanks to Sutherland Shire Council for hosting us and to the Council Officers, Stakeholders from Sydney Water and Roads and Maritime Services NSW, and Community Representatives from Friends of Oatley and Botany Bay Catchment Alliance who were also in attendance.

Now we have member Councils and stakeholders approval for the Georges Riverkeeper Strategic Plan 2022-2026 we are in the process of preparing the document for presentation on our website. The amended Constitution will be submitted shortly to Fair Trading for ratification.
