Here’s to our champions: Georges Riverkeeper honour roll
Georges Riverkeeper is honouring six individuals for their outstanding commitment to protecting the Georges River and for assisting Georges Riverkeeper in its goal of ‘best practice environmental management for a liveable urban river’.
Honour Roll recipients include former Mayors, Deputy Mayors, and Councillors as well as community representatives. View the list here.
Georges Riverkeeper Program Manager Beth Salt said, “Many of these honourees have been involved with Georges Riverkeeper for a significant length of time and are committed supporters of our organization and passionate advocates for the Georges River.”
Recipients were presented with a plaque and gift at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.
