Welcome to the team, Sarah and Hiti!
We are excited to introduce our newest team members, Sarah Maher (pictured left) and Hiti Gandhi (right), who have joined us temporarily as Catchment Management Officers.
Sarah is a Field Ecologist with a robust academic background and experience in environmental science and ecology. She has earned a BSc in Environmental Science and Ecology and previously worked as a Conservation Management Research Assistant and Environmental Consultant. In these roles, she performed field surveys, prepared environmental assessment reports, utilized GIS for mapping, monitored bird and vegetation populations, and presented her findings to stakeholders.
Hiti is a scientist with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Environment. Until recently, she has been working as an environmental consultant. She is proficient in terrestrial ecology, biodiversity, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Impact Assessments, pollution control, management of degraded environments, site contamination and remediation, stakeholder engagement, and Natural Resource Management.
They are both looking forward to learning more about the Georges River.
