Georges Riverkeeper Executive Group Meeting - May 2022

The Georges Riverkeeper Executive Group met in May. Given the adoption of the Georges Riverkeeper Financial Cluster Group recommendation by the Georges Riverkeeper Committee in April and the securing of funds for the next four financial years, a large portion of this meeting was spent discussing the Draft Georges Riverkeeper Strategic Plan for 2022-2026. The initial budget for the 2022-2023 financial year was also discussed and will be fleshed out by the Georges Riverkeeper Team when developing the Annual Workplan for 2022-2023. This was the last meeting for the Program Manager, Beth Salt. The Executive were informed that a new Program Manager has been offered and accepted the role, commencing in June.

There are many different stakeholders and landowners in the Georges River Catchment who all have a responsibility to manage their land in a way that ensures there is a minimal impact on the river and its ecosystems.
